Yet another certified private trainer available on the market:How is this good news for you?
Well for starters, this private trainer wasn’t born with the perfect body. He has an unconventional background. Most of his knowledge doesn’t stem exclusively from
textbooks but from his own life experiences, thus adding a psychological aspect to histraining that is human even though it is demanding and efficient.
That private trainer is me : Fred ! Formerly obese (106 kl ++++ 240lbs) with a multitude of medical problems, a very average build and no willpower. That is the old me,
theold Fred that I’ve left behind. All these changes were obtained without pills, special products or drastic diets: an amazing transformation for myself that I’ve been ablehelp many of my
students achieve.
So why not you ?
I’m 36 years young, and I practice a variety of sports : weight training, combat sports(boxing, Thai Box, Brazilian jui jitsu), jogging, biking, swimming, crossfit training andoutdoor boot camp.
I worked as a prison guard in France for over 10 years, 6 of which was in a special unit for learning alternative training techniques from my colleagues.I train 5 to 10 times per week for many
hours, but it wasn’t always so.
In fact, as you may have already read, even though I now weigh 80 kg (180lbs), when Iwas 20 years old, I easily weighed over 105 kg.
So what happed to me ?
It’s easy, one day when I was about 20 years old, I weighed myself as I usually didevery morning (and also every night), I bitterly realized that I had reached 105.1 kg.
Like any good overweight person, I told myself: “Oh well, I’ll just go on a diet” whichat that time meant not eating or eating very little. The typical diet that we all
know sowell: the one consisting of vegetables and water and nothing else.
After a week of serious efforts, especially considering that at that time all I usually atewas junk food, I got back onto my scale, certain to have lost at least 3 or 4 kilograms…but to my
surprise, I weighed over 107kg! After ONE week of very strict dieting all Ihad to show for it is TWO more kilograms??? So I got off the scale and decided to checkagain: The truth is
that I do weigh 107.6 kilograms!!!
After my last thought as a fat person, I said to myself: “I’m just unlucky, I’m so carefuland watch everything I eat, it must be hereditary. It’s my tenth full proof diet that doesn’twork, I must
not be normal”. An uncontrollable fit of rage overcame me. I grabbed thescale with both hands and threw it as hard as I could against the ground, stomping and breaking it into little pieces,
then I left the bathroom furious.
From there, I headed to thekitchen and in a blind fury, I grabbed a large black garbage bag and threw out ALL ofmy past bad habits, goodbye chips, nutella, cake, peanut butter, mayonnaise, nuts,
redmeat, fried foods, chocolate mousse, cans of fatty foods.
Having completed the big clean up, I checked the advice of various nutrition books that Ihad recently started reading on regular basis to find solutions to my weight problem.
All of a sudden, it became came clear to me : I was going to undertake a year long diet.365 days of dieting, not like those found in all those magazines, but something
based onprotein, carbohydrate and lipid ratios in relation to my gender, age and particular natureand needs.
Instead of talking about dieting, it became about healthy eating habits. That same day, Idecided that I had had enough of lying to myself : it had taken years to get to this pointand
it would take years to loose all that weight.
After 365 days, where my motto was: “never feel hungry”, I had lost 13 kilos, and afterstopping my diet for one trimester, I had gained only one kilo.
That first lifestyle change, without incorporating any sports, was my test and my victory. Iwas finally able to take back control of my body.
About 5 years later I wanted to try again but this time incorporating physical training,a kind of 50/50 approach. In 6 months, I had lost another 7 kilos, but some
othertransformations were becoming apparent: my waistline, shoulders and thighs had allchanged.
I was pretty satisfied with the results, but then I started to wonder if maybe I could loosemore weight if I did intense physical training exclusively.
I pushed my body to its limits,I threw up, fainted and ached all over…Approximately 3 years ago I dieted for the lasttime.
A diet based on triathlon training, combat sports and weight lifting: the end result =7 kilos in 4 months.
A diet with only healthy eating habits = 13 kilos in one year.
A diet with physical activity and nutrition = 7 kilos in 6 months
A diet with intense physical activity but on a body used to training very regularly = 7 kilosin 4 months.
And there you have it, this is what makes me distinct from all those other trainers:I don’t just use theory, but concrete life experience. What I will teach and ask of
you, I’vealready done and have applied these principals to many other students.
And IT WORKS!You will not need any special products or other substitutes, no magic pills, just purewholesome, all natural ingredients, like those found everywhere: at the local market or the neighbourhood store.I don’t have just one success story with my students but many (references availableupon request).I’m demanding and you will become demanding with yourself, you will discover newaspects of your personality: someone that is successful and that follows through andreaches their goals.I’m your ally, your crutch because you are limping, I will help you and you will learn tobe independent, and then I will leave you to enjoy your victory.
